Police said Friday that there's been an increase in armed robberies in Goldsboro and Wayne County over the past 45 days, and there's a pattern to many of the holdups.

In a news release, the Goldsboro Police Department said the robberies have occurred between the hours of 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. There has been a single gunman in some cases and also two person teams using a small handgun.

In the last week, two robberies have occurred where the suspect has covered his face and has used a long gun which according to the clerks is a .22 caliber rifle.

The suspects have mainly robbed convenience stores but have now moved to a small Asian restaurant.

The suspects have worn gray "hoodie" style jackets with "H K" in block letters on the back, or a white hoodie.

The suspects have been known to have on red or white shoes. There has been an unknown vehicle seen at one robbery.
