Sheriff's detectives charged 33-year-old Andre Moore of Fayetteville Monday after he turned himself in. Investigators say Moore targeted a 10-year-old student. The girl told authorities Moore would touch her inappropriately during classroom time.
Witnesses reported the incident, which allegedly occurred between February and March, to school administrators.
Moore is a teacher at T.C. Berien Elementary School. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $67, 500 bond.
