Cornelius Hubert Hunt was taken into custody in the 1800 block of Guess Road around 7:15 a.m.
Officers say he refused to open his door when they went to arrest him. Neighbors were evacuated, and after about an hour, tear gas was used. Hunt surrendered.
He's charged with second-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape.
