Warrant: Middle school student demanded nude pictures

RALEIGH

Sources tell ABC11 that the school involved is Martin GT Magnet Middle School on Ridge Road, but law enforcement officials declined to comment, saying the case involves juveniles.

The search warrant says a Wake County deputy sheriff got a report April 28 that the unnamed student "had solicited nude and pornographic pictures of multiple female students and posted at least one of the nude photos as his profile picture on a social networking website in order to threaten and intimidate the female student."

The social networking website is listed as skype.com.

The warrant says a school administrator confiscated the student's cell phone and found multiple images of topless or nude underage females "including those of a female student."

A school investigation was completed, and the warrant says the student was "found guilty in a Wake County Public School disciplinary proceeding of sexually harassing, extorting and bullying female students, which resulted from his suspension from school."

The search warrant does not say what charges the student might face in the juvenile justice system, although it lists extortion and cyber bullying under background on offenses and statutory authority.

The investigator who swore out the warrant writes he interviewed a female student who told him she sent the male student several nude images over a period of several months. She said he threatened to post more pictures on the internet if she did not continue to send him more nude images.
