SANFORD, NC --
Police say they hope to learn more about the deaths of a man and woman found in a burning car in Sanford early Sunday after an examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill.Officers discovered the remains after they were called to a car fire in a parking lot behind Warren Williams School, off Bennett Street, just after midnight.
The case is being treated as a double homicide.
