Investigators say the suspect, 49-year-old Garland Beal, beat 50-year-old Terry Baker to death. The two knew each other.
Baker's body was found in an alleyway off East Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday afternoon. Beal is being held in the Moore County Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
