It happened just after 9 a.m. between Spring Forest and Hunting Ridge Road.
Police identified the pedestrian Thursday as Nanda Lal Poudel, 67, of Suburban Drive in Raleigh.
Investigators said while no charges have been filed, the collision remains under investigation and officers remain interested in speaking with any witnesses who have not yet come forward. Anyone with information can call (919) 834-HELP.
