SUV crashes into a Raleigh Starbucks

RALEIGH

It happened around 9:50 a.m., at a store located in the 6000 block of Glenwood Avenue.

Raleigh police say the driver jumped the curb, crossed the sidewalk and then drove through the glass doors in front of the building.

Viewer photos taken shortly after the accident, showed shattered glass and a blue sports utility vehicle that came to a stop next the checkout counter.

There was no major structural damage and no one was seriously hurt in the crash.

Authorities say the driver accidently hit the gas instead of the brake, as she pulled into the parking lot.

The driver of the SUV has been charged with failing to reduce speed.
