Police search for suspect in attempted robbery

Garner Police are searching for a suspect who they say tried to rob a pharmacy Saturday.

It happened around 10 a.m., at the Rite Aid store located on Timber Drive.

Authorities say a lone suspect walked into the store, showed a black handgun, and demanded prescription drugs.

The employees of the store did not give the suspect any drugs and the man left without incident.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male, 45-50 years old, wearing a ball cap, sunglasses and a dark colored jacket and tan cargo pants.
