Second person sought in fatal IHOP shooting

DURHAM

Jerry Lee Adams, 21, of Seven Oaks Road, was arrested October 13 and charged with murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Shots were fired into the business on North Pointe Dr., off Guess Rd, just after a man was ordered to leave the restaurant by two off-duty Durham Sheriff's deputies. It happened just before 3:30 a.m.

Forty-six year old Delia Allen of Lancaster St. died at the hospital a few hours after the shooting. A 24-year old man was treated for a graze wound to a hand. Allen was apparently an innocent bystander.

Detectives said they have received information that another man was involved and they're asking the public for information.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Soucie at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29337 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
