Shooting near Southeast Raleigh High School

RALEIGH

A spokesperson said the incident happened off-campus in the area of Creech Road and Slippery Elm Drive. The school is in the 2600 block of Rock Quarry Road.

After the shooting, police said the victim ran to the school to get help. He was taken to WakeMed with a non-life threatening injury.

Police had the area roped off and were investigating.

School had already let out for the day and no students were hurt.
