Raleigh man dies after being hit by motorcycle

Thirty-six-year-old Brian Wray Ferrell of Raleigh died after being struck by a motorcycle Tuesday evening.

Witnesses told police Ferrell was crossing Mechanical Boulevard in an area that was not a pedestrian crossing. He was hit by Charles Eugene Teal, 25, of Willow Springs, the driver of the motorcycle.

Both Teal and Ferrell were injured and taken to Wake Medical Center. Police have not filed charges against the motorcyclist.
