Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler said Thursday the American Idol winner will play the NC State Fair in 2012 and tickets go on sale Dec. 5.
The performance is scheduled for Oct. 15, 2012.
"It may be a little early to be thinking about next year's fair, but we think Scotty tickets will make the perfect gift for country music lovers on your shopping list," said Troxler in a statement.
Tickets are $25. You can get them at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at www.ncstatefair.org.
