Detectives said 28-year-old Shaquanna Shene McAllister of 613 Hickory View Court, Fayetteville surrendered to authorities Wednesday morning.
McAllister allegedly was responsible for a fundraiser at Cliffdale Elementary that involved selling cookies, candies and gifts. Detectives said McAllister collected about $10,000, but turned in closer to $6,000 to the PTA treasurer.
McAllister is charged with felony embezzlement.
