Suspect breaks into Fayetteville home with resident inside

FAYETTEVILLE

Police responded to a breaking and entering call Wednesday around 8:21 p.m. at the residence on the 1700 block of Gilmore Street.

The resident told officials she heard someone knocking on the door, and later heard the door being forced open. She went into her living room and saw the suspect standing there. The suspect then fled the residence.

Neighbors reported seeing a silver PT Cruiser speeding away from the neighborhood. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6' tall with a thin build wearing a green or grey hooded sweatshirt.

Nothing was taken from the home and the victim was not injured.
