Wake Forest police have arrested a man they say was illegally discounting merchandise.

Fifty-eight-year-old Randolph Street, of Wendell, was charged with several counts of larceny after finding creative ways to purchase goods for a lower price.

Police said Street changed the product codes on beer, a remote control car, and other items in stores like Walmart, so that they would ring up for less than the original price.

Street was also charged with damaging property while resisting arrest.
