Gun raffle draws fire at Johnston Co. school

PRINCETON, N.C.

A parent organization is raffling off a 12-gauge shotgun to raise money so seniors can have a safe night celebrating after graduation.

Some people have taken issue with signs being posted in county and school district offices and on the school website.

School officials are quick to point out the group isn't associated with the district.

The event organizer says she will remove the link from the Johnston County School District. Flyers will also be removed from county and school offices.
