Canes give Christmas back to Ft. Bragg family

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.

The Jacobson family from Fayetteville were the victims of burglars earlier this month. After watching their story on ABC11, the Canes decided to help bring Christmas back to the Ft. Bragg family.

Former Canes player Shane Willis and front office staff members brought the family gifts to replace the ones stolen. Willis even leant the Canes' alumni luxury box to the family to use during a game this season.

SSG Patrick Jacobson and his family were truly thankful for the Canes' generosity.

"The overwhelming outpouring of support has been awesome. The canes, coming in, they just, they brought back the joy of Christmas for my kids," Jacobson said.

The Canes organization felt it was an honor to be a part of restoring the Jacobson family's Christmas.

"You know, it was definitely a blessing for us to be able to come down here today and help you guys out so, Merry Christmas," Willis said.

This will definitely be a Christmas to remember for the Jacobsons.

"I've been saying thank you and I think I've said it so much, it's kind of lost its value. I think I need to think of another word cause it just seems inadequate," Shannon Jacobson said.
