Woman says she was sexually assaulted at hotel

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are investigating an alleged sexual assault.

Authorities said on Jan. 8 around 8:30 p.m., police were called to a hotel in the 1300 block of Walter Reed Road about an assault.

A woman told police that she was sexually assaulted while inside her hotel room by an unknown man.

The suspect is described as a white man, standing between 5' 9" and 6' tall. He is described as "skinny," in his 50's with short brown and gray hair.

Further details about the incident have not been released.
