A male entered the Kroger in the 3400 block of Hillsborough Road on June 6 around 9 p.m., according to investigators.
A store employee spotted the man trying to leave the store with a large amount of meat. The suspect assaulted the employee before fleeing in a grey Ford Focus.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his mid 30s, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and jeans.
