Woman's body found in Raleigh parking deck

RALEIGH

Detectives had the building on West South Street, near Lenoir and McDowell Streets, roped off with crime tape after receiving a call around 6:45 a.m. about a deceased person at the parking facility.

According to Raleigh Police Department Director of Public Affairs Jim Sughrue, the woman has been identified as 46-year-old Miriam Hazelene Scott, of Chapel Hill.

"Thus far, no signs of foul play are apparent," said Sughrue.

Scott's remains were taken to the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy .
