Police said vandals littered the outside of the building with gang signs and graffiti just after midnight Wednesday.
When they were done spray painting, thieves broke through the glass and went into a classroom. The alarm did not go off and they were able to make it out with all of the computers from the kid's lab.
The director of the program said what bothers the staff is that the children are the ones who are hurt the most by this crime.
"Things like this don't generally happen and the community knows because we support them and we support their youth. We were surprised, the kids here were very surprised that they were set back and that someone would hurt their home away from home," said director Steve Owens.
Owens told ABC11 that what the facility needs the most is donations from the public. Volunteers are helping to clean up the mess, but they want to replace the stolen equipment and continue giving back to the community.
