4 arrested in Durham shooting

The shooting happened just before noon at the Pendleton Townhomes in the 300 block of South Woodcrest St.

Police said a man was shot in the leg while standing in the yard. He was taken to Duke University Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects fled the area in a white colored vehicle, but were arrested a few hours later.

Police arrested 22-year-old Cameron Mitchell, 19-year-old Omari Mitchell, 20-year-old Gary Brady, and 21-year-old Devon Thorpe, all of Durham. Each suspect is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy, assault by pointing a gun and going armed to the terror of the public.
