Police have identified the woman as 32-year-old Vinitia Helana Bridges, of Raleigh.
Police originally responded to a water rescue call, but officials said the body was not found in the water.
Bridges had been reported missing earlier in the day, and officers were on the scene attempting to locate her in the vicinity of the park when the discovery was made.
Officials do not suspect foul play. Following standard procedure, an autopsy will be conducted.
The park is located on Millbrook Road in North Raleigh.
