Following a two-week trial, jurors found 23-year-old Travis Sherman guilty of first-degree murder in the murder of 23-year-old Kenneth Ring.
During the trial, a prosecutor told jurors that despite any witnesses who testified against him either having criminal records or credibility issues, all evidence pointed to Sherman as the man who went in the back door of the Domino's Pizza in Knightdale on the night of Jan. 8, 2010.
Inside the store, Ring, who was the store's manager, was counting money at closing time.
Ring was robbed and beaten with what investigators believed was a metal baseball bat. Investigators also believed Sherman went inside the store by himself and committed the murder.
Jurors will now decide whether Sherman will spend the rest of his life in prison.
The trial of a second man accused in the case - Nico Bowers - is tentatively set for February.
