Officials told ABC11 an argument escalated into gunfire just after 8 a.m. at a home on the 100 block of Eddie Drive. Thirty-eight-year-old Dana Atkinson fired multiple shots, injuring two people.
Atkinson was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held in the Johnston County jail under a $1.1 million bond.
The two injured people were taken to Wake Med Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their names have not been released.
