Officials said a person was walking in the roadway on Holloway Street when the accident happened. The driver failed to stop after hitting the pedestrian.
If the suspect would have stopped when the accident occurred, they would not have been charged, because the victim was walking in the road, according to officials.
However, now police are searching for the driver. The suspect's vehicle was found around 8:15 a.m. Sunday, parked just down the road from the crime scene.
