An assistant principal at Athens Drive High School was taken to the hospital Tuesday after he was hurt trying to stop a fight in the school lunchroom.

Officials said Dr. Steven Miller was either pushed or fell against a plate glass window, breaking it.

Miller was treated and released at Rex Hospital for cuts.

"He just got scratched up a bit, but he's okay. He'll be okay," said Miller's daughter Phoebe - who's also a student at the school.

Police said charges may be filed against a 15-year-old student involved in the fight.
