Police arrested Herman Harris Tuesday afternoon after spending the last three weeks trying to track him down.
The 38 year old is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm.
He's accused of firing the gun that left Officer Zachary Pittman wounded on Aug. 26.
Police said Harris shot Pittman after the two were involved in a skirmish at an apartment complex off of Covenwood Drive.
