NWS: Tornado struck Zebulon Tuesday

ZEBULON, N.C.

Officials said the EF-0 tornado hit about one mile west of Zebulon around 3:40 p.m. with estimated maximum wind speeds of 75 miles per hour.

An NWS damage survey found tornado damage in a stand of trees as a "well-defined damage path of about one-half mile long and about 30 yards wide."

The survey found no structural damage. There were no injuries reported.
