The accident happened just after 10 p.m. on Highway 50, near Garner.
Troopers told ABC11 a motorcycle and a truck collided and the motorcyclist was killed. The female passenger on the bike was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Officials have not released the victim's names. It is not known what caused the crash.
