Police were called to The Scottish Inns on North Garnett Street around 11 p.m. where EMS was already treating the victim.
Antonio Hammond, 33, was transported to Maria Parham Medical Center where he later died.
Police have not released any details about the incident or how the victim was killed.
Clifton Hammond is being held in Vance County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
