Police said Trista Miles fractured her child's skull and caused serious injuries during an October incident.
Officials said the child also suffered broken bones, a bruised liver, and a cut pancreas.
Miles is being held in the Wake County Jail. During her court appearance Tuesday, a judge raised her bond from $200,000 to $250,000. Her next court date is Dec. 3.
