Airlines expect close to 24 million people to fly between now and Nov. 27 -- a slight increase from last year.
Airports nationwide are reminding people to arrive extra early. Raleigh-Durham International Airport alone expects nearly 200,000 passengers to fly in and out of the airport through the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Some of the busiest days this month are the day before Thanksgiving and the Sunday and Monday after.
AAA expects about 39 million people to hit the roads this holiday week, though the cost of gas could keep some home.
