Raleigh shooting remains unsolved

RALEIGH

Detectives said it happened when Alfonso Canjay Rincon, 42, was apparently woken by a noise outside his home in the 6100 block of Foxhall Village Drive near Buffaloe Road around 1 a.m.

Rincon looked outside and saw two men next to a neighbor's vehicle. They crossed the street and started looking into one of his vehicles.

Rincon opened a door and the men fled. He told his family to call 911 and went after them.

While he was gone, a witness saw the same two men going by in a dark-colored sedan headed in the area of the mobile home park's office. A short time later, a gunshot was heard.

Rincon was found near the office with a gunshot wound.

Detectives are trying to locate the two suspects who were seen on foot in the area, along with a third suspect, who was driving the car. The suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect 1 – Is a Hispanic male in his 20s-30s who stands about 5 feet 6-8 inches tall. He was wearing a gray and blue hooded Nike sweatshirt and had short hair dark hair with a thin mustache.
  • Suspect 2 – Is a Hispanic male in his 20s-30s who stands about 5 feet 6-8 inches tall. He was wearing a gray and blue hooded Nike sweatshirt (similar to Suspect 1), was bald and was wearing a black or blue bandanna.
  • Suspect 3 – The driver, who remained in the dark-colored four-door sedan, is a Hispanic male who was bald and was wearing a black or blue bandanna.

Neighbors said Rincon was a homeowner who was married with children and a hard worker.
