According to the Montgomery Adviser newspaper, 21-year-old Zachary Stirewalt shot and killed 43-year-old Daniel Turman over the weekend.
Police said Turman offered Stirewalt a place to stay after finding out he had no place to live.
According to his Twitter page, Stirewalt attended Appalachian State University and was an aspiring commercial photographer.
