Deputies said 58-year old Manuel Ferrer, of 3298 Reno Drive, Fayetteville, was taken into custody following a month-long investigation.
Ferrer faces 22 felony charges including, first-degree rape of a child, first-degree statutory rape, sex offense in a parental role, crimes against nature, and indecent liberties with a minor.
The victim told investigators Ferrer began engaging in inappropriate behavior with her in 2003, which continued until February, 2012. The encounters occurred in Ferrer's home.
Bond was set at $1.4 million.
