Investigators said a student reported he was held-up at knifepoint near the E.S. King Village graduate student housing area just before 10 a.m. and the alleged robber took off down Ligon Street towards Hutton.
Raleigh and campus police arrested Michael Anthony Hinton of Woods Place in Raleigh after search of a wooded area around 10:25.
Police said Hinton has an extensive criminal record.
