Teen shooting suspects sought

DURHAM

Seventeen-year-olds Richard Bonaparte Jr., Dontae Richardson, and 16-year-old Demarkee Midgette are facing several charges.

The shooting happened Wednesday night in the 700 block of Elizabeth Street.

Investigators say the 16 year-old victim was on the porch when several teens approached him and an argument broke out.

The victim was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover.

Bonaparte is wanted on one charge of conspiracy to commit an assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Midgette is wanted on one charge of conspiracy to commit an assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and one charge of possession of a handgun by a minor. Richardson has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, discharging a firearm within the city limits and possession of a handgun by a minor.

Police have also charged a 15 year old in the case with conspiracy.
