Grand jury indicts alleged trooper shooter

DURHAM, N.C.

Investigators said 23-year-old Mikel Edward Brady II shot Trooper Michael Potts Feb. 18 during a traffic stop in Durham.

Brady now faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer.

Brady remains behind bars in the Durham County Jail.

Potts is out of the hospital, and recovering at home.
