In each case the primary target was cigarettes.
The break-ins occurred at the:
- Family Fare Store (902 Hay Street) on March 13 at 4:25 a.m.
- CVS Pharmacy (404 Ramsey Street) on March 17 at 4:30 a.m.
- Sunoco (3740 Ramsey Street) on March 19 at 4:20 a.m.
- Short Stop (3400 Ramsey Street) on March 25 at 2:15 a.m.
Detectives say it's a familiar pattern.
"They are occurring in the early morning hours between 2 and 4 o'clock in the morning, and we do know the method is forced entry into the stores," said Fayetteville Police Sgt. Gary Womble.
Police said the suspect(s) may be driving a gray mini-van.
