WAKE FOREST, N.C. --
Police have found nearly 100 storm drain grates that were stolen from Wake Forest, Rolesville, and Raleigh. Police are still trying to track down the thieves who sold the grates to a scrap yard.
Wake Forest crews are replacing the grates in several neighborhoods. The work is expected to be completed by Thursday.
Police officials say their investigation is ongoing and that the other recovered grates are being returned to where they were stolen from.
