A man is behind bars and charged with involuntary manslaughter after a man was shot and killed in a store parking lot in Southern Pines Sunday night.

Police say it happened just after 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Lowes Home Improvement store on U.S. Highway 15-501.

When police arrived, they found 23-year-old Cravis Weathers, of Aberdeen, dead of a gunshot wound.

Police arrested 23-year-old Greggory Bohlander, of West End, a short time later. They say Weathers and Bohlander knew one another, and that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

Bohlander is currently being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond pending a hearing on Jan. 14.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Southern Pines Police Department at (910) 692-7031, or the Crime Tip Line at (910) 693-4110.
