Franklin McCain, one of the Greensboro Four dies

GREENSBORO, N.C.

The Greensboro News and Record reported that the Civil Rights Center & Museum confirmed McCain's death.

McCain was one of four African-American students from A&T University who sat at the segregated lunch counter of the Greensboro Woolworth's store on February 1, 1960 and asked to be served.

The Greensboro protests eventually led to the Woolworth's chain changing its policies.

The store is now a museum.
