Search warrants show Catherine Sartain allegedly posted bogus tweets about her ex's family.
Investigators say she also posted a fake ad on Craigslist - posing as her ex's teenage daughter and soliciting sex. Authorities say on several occasions men showed up at the victim's house.
The teen's mother told ABC11 that 60 to 70 men knocked on their door responding to the ads.
ABC11 talked to one of the family members who said Sartain also posed as the family's grandmother online and offered phone sex.
Officials with Wake County Public Schools said Sartain has been a teacher's assistant at Yates Mill Elementary School since 2000.
She has been suspended with pay since Feb. 5 pending the outcome of the charges against her.
Sartain had nothing to say to ABC11 when we went to her house Friday. She would only refer us to her lawyer.
She is facing five counts of cyberstalking and two counts of cyberbulling.
Sartain is due back in court in mid-March.
