Authorities said Juan Bautista, a West Rowan High School student, was arrested Friday and charged with cyber bullying.
Deputies said they were alerted a nude photograph of a 15 year old was posted to an Instagram account called "Thesehoes01." They were able to backtrack the path of the picture to Bautista, who created the Instagram account Monday.
Authorities say the victim's photo had originally been sent to her boyfriend in confidence, but it was leaked to Bautista.
Bautista was issued out-of-school suspension for his involvement and arrest in the case, and he is set to appear in court March 19.
Right now investigators say the case does not appear to be linked to the scandal rocking the Triangle and several other counties.
