Man charged with murder of 6-month-old in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police have charged a former Raleigh man with murder in the 2013 death of a 6-month-old baby.

Jorge Jovany Acevedo, 30, was brought from Virginia Thursday to face the charge after he waived extradition.

As ABC11 reported in 2013, the incident happened at a mobile home park in the 3000 block of Stonybrook Drive.

The baby was rushed to the hospital with head injuries and died the next day.
