Red Cross has urgent need for blood

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The American Red Cross says it's experiencing a severe blood shortage after about 37,000 fewer donations were given in November and December.

The Red Cross says donations are critically needed now so that patients can continue to receive lifesaving treatments.
