Burlington man struck, killed by hit-and-run driver

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Police in Burlington are searching for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in the city and then drove off.



Lt. Brian Long says that it happened shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday.



The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Francisco Ngual.



Police say Ngual had just visited a convenience store and was crossing the street when it happened. They say they are looking for a white vehicle with a lot of front-end damage.
