NC 147 southbound near Alston Avenue reopens after Durham crash

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- All lanes of the Durham Freeway southbound were closed near Exit 11, the Alston Avenue exit Wednesday evening because of a crash. The lanes reopened shortly before 9 p.m.

The freeway was expected to be closed for several hours by the crash, which happened just before 8 p.m.

Traffic has returned to a normal flow.

Durham Police did not know how many vehicles were involved but said there were no serious injuries.

Emergency vehicles blocking the road accounted for the freeway's closure.
